Criminal Background Check:

After you apply online, you'll receive a email with instructions for submitting your fingerprints at a CBCP office. We reccomend submitting your fingerprints as soon as possible as this can be the longest part of the application process.

Required Documents:
  • Submit a 2” x 2” photograph of your face along with your application.
  • Submit 2 notarized reference letters of reference (Affidavits) from at least 2 veterinarians and 3 other adults who are not related to you setting forth how long a time, when and under what circumstances they have known you, and any other facts that may support your qualifications for licensure.
Endorsement Applicants

Veterinarians who are already licensed in another state, US territory, Canadian province, or Washington D.C. must submit a verification of licensure for any licenses currently or previously held, including any disciplinary action taken against any of your licenses by a state veterinary board.

AAVSB Vault Service: You can have the AAVSB transfer your NAVLE test results, verification of licensure for any other veterinary licenses, and letters of good standing for a fee of $99.
