Shift Requests will populate in your Roo dashboard, and you'll get email notifications as well if you have those turned on. Click "Review" to see who's interested. Check out their profiles and experience, then "Confirm" a Vet or Tech to make it official!
- Click "Review" to see a list of all the Vets / Techs who have Requested your shift.
- If they requested different start/end times, surgery preferences, or intend to negotiate a different price (only available to some users), you'll review these changes now.
- Click the Vet / Tech's name to see their profile and review their experience, past ratings from other hospitals, and more.
- Finally, when you've chosen a Vet / Tech you'd like to support your hospital, click "Confirm" to make it official!
Alternatively, you can "Decline" any requests from Vets / Techs you're not interested in.
Heads up: These requests expire if you don't respond in time. You'll see a red countdown to the right of the request to let you know how much time you have. Don't worry, if a request expires before you're able to get to it, we can usually help you out.
Looking to save time?
You can also set shifts to "Instant Bookable" to skip this step completely. When posting a new shift, check one of the box at the very bottom of the form to either automatically confirm the first Vet/Tech who requests your shift OR confirm any Vet/Tech you've worked with before and rated 4-stars or higher.
What comes next?
Now that you've confirmed a Vet or Tech, you'll be able to communicate directly with them using Roo Messaging. This is a great way to share important info like where to park, your hospital policies, or any PIMS info they'll need.
You can also Upload Onboarding Documents with this information to automatically email a standard document to Confirmed Vets or Techs before each shift.
When will I be charged for a shift?
You won't be charged until 72 hours before a shift. We have flexible cancellation policies if things change before then.
