CLEAR Blueprint is Not One More Vet’s workplace wellness certification program developed by veterinary and mental health professionals that gives teams the tools to create mentally healthy workplaces. Through this process, animal hospitals put in place new practices that make these improvements sustainable over time.

How does CLEAR impact my clinic culture?

What does CLEAR certification involve?

But it’s the conversations these modules spark that make the biggest impact: You’ll reflect on what you’re already doing well to maintain your best practices and learn what you can improve, putting new policies in place that strengthen your culture.

CLEAR starts with an initial assessment, a short survey that lets you know where you stand across ten areas affecting mental health and where to focus your efforts. Then, your team will complete ten modules, each corresponding to one of the focus areas from the assessment.

What are the ten CLEAR modules?

  1. Mission, Values, and Philosophy: Take time to intentionally craft a shared mission, values, and philosophy, creating transparency of expectations for the whole team.
  2. Building Trusting Teams: Deepen trusting relationships between leadership and team members.
  3. Creating an Engaging Work Environment: Come to a shared understanding of what’s needed to be successful and how to communicate those needs.
  4. Emotional Balance: Learn to manage the inherent risk of compassion fatigue in this industry on both an individual and team level.
  5. Energy Levels: Evaluate sources of stress to identify where support is needed proactively.
  6. Shaping Emotional Wellbeing in Veterinary Practice: Reflect on and revise protocols to empower teams to provide the best care possible.
  7. Client Relations: Create clear staff-client protocols that are consistent with your organization’s mission and values.
  8. Community Relations: Generate ideas for ways your business can become more connected with the community you serve.
  9. Financial Stability: Learn how the profitability of a business and the financial stability of its staff are inextricably linked.
  10. Peer Relations: Develop policies that encourage positive, healthy relationships among team members, fostering a sense of belonging and leveraging individual strengths.

Getting started is easy; just hop over to NOMV’s CLEAR website and sign up. Pricing is based on number of employees. NOMV uses these fees to cover the costs of running the program and continually improving it.
