As the only DVM in her practice, Dr. Murphree oftenfound herself overwhelmed by the dual roles of Veterinarian and Manager.
Republic Veterinary Hospital, located in Kyle, TX, is a small animal general practice founded over seven years ago by Dr. Stephanie Murphree. Eventually, she found she was falling behind on administrative and managerial tasks but had no way to step away from patient care without leaving pets unseen.
“I was, and am, falling behind on managerial and admin duties, and I really needed someone to come in to see appointments so that I could just do admin stuff.”
Initially, she had a Relief Vet come in once a week to help share her workload, but financial constraints made this difficult to maintain.
Despite the cost of relief, she knew that having occasional support was essential to keeping her practice running.
Since integrating Roo into her practice, Dr. Murphree significantly improved her ability to balance all her responsibilities. She found it incredibly easy to hop in and schedule Relief Vets quickly, ensuring she got the support she needed without any added stress.
Dr. Murphree was also touched by the level of care and attention Roo provided with their customer support. On multiple occasions, Roo has gone out of their way to accommodate her needs, reinforcing her trust in the platform.
“There have been little things where Roo has treated me very well. They treated me the way I would want to be treated. There are a few little things that Roo has done, that [they] didn’t have to do, but I’ve noticed and I appreciate it.”
Another unexpected benefit has been the positive feedback she’s received from clients:
“I’ve had a lot of clients who have said that they really like our Roo Relief Vets. A lot of times, clients don’t like Relief Vets, but I get a lot of compliments, and I think that says a lot.”
