NO! You have the flexibility to use Roo as much or as little with zero upfront costs, no membership fees, and no minimum shift posting requirements. Post unlimited shifts whenever you need coverage, and only pay for shifts you confirm.
How much does it cost to sign up for Roo?
Roo is completely free to join, and there are no monthly fees. Post unlimited shifts with zero upfront costs, and only pay when you find coverage. You can freely remove shifts until they’re confirmed, and you won’t be charged until 72 hours before a shift. Our cancellation policies are flexible, providing up to a full refund when you cancel in advance.

Can I hire a Relief Vet or Tech full-time?
YES! This is encouraged. If you’ve met a Vet or Tech through Roo that you love working with, we’re here to support both sides of their career transition, especially if you’ve already had great experiences working together.

How are Roo's relief vets and techs screened? What are their qualifications?
Roo is devoted to providing veterinary relief staff of the highest quality that you can depend on to provide exceptional care.
All our relief professionals are fully licensed in the state(s) in which they fulfill shifts, and we review their qualifications during our onboarding process and conduct background checks. The work history and experience of all our professionals will be available for your review in their profiles.
Additionally, if you need veterinarians who are DEA registered, you can make this a requirement when you post a shift so you can be certain you're getting the qualified support you need.
Can I require a DEA license for a Roo Relief Vet?
YES! You can make having a DEA license a requirement when creating a new shift. When you select the option “DEA License Required,” only Vets with DEA Registration will be able to view and request your shift.
Can I require a Fear Free certifications?
YES! We have teamed with Fear Free to match Fear Free Certified Hospitals with Fear Free Relief Professionals for a seamless experience that upholds your hospital’s values.
When setting up your hospital profile, you’ll have the option to indicate whether your hospital is Fear Free Certified, which will be visible to Vets and Techs. Roo Vets and Techs will also indicate whether they are Fear Free Certified on their profiles, so you can choose to confirm relief professionals who hold these certifications.
