Get up to speed on Post–cardiac arrest (PCA) care
We’ve got an hour together to walk through the critical period after a patient achieves return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) during CPR. In dogs and cats, survival rates are much lower compared to humans with most patients experiencing a rearrest within 24 hours. Recent updates to PCA management are essential for the veterinary care team to understand and implement in practice. This lecture will focus on the strategies to optimize the respiratory, hemodynamic, and neurologic systems.

Shegraduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
