Despite overall declines in the U.S. veterinary visits, feline care continues to grow, with rising cat adoptions and increasing clinical visits. Yet cats remain one of the most underserved patient groups populations, often due to the stress and anxiety associated with veterinary visits.

sThis webinar presents a practical, evidence-based approach to improving both the feline exam experience and caregiver satisfaction through the principles of Cat Friendly Practice®. Atteees will gain insight into the physiologic and emotional effects of stress in cats, the influence of the clinical environment on behavior, and how caregivers' perceptions impact compliance.

With a focus on effective communication, clinic environment, and feline-specific handling techniques, this session equips veterinary professionals to reduce fear, improve diagnostic accuracy, and foster stronger client relationships. The result is a calmer, more compassionate approach to feline care that supports more frequent visits, improves preventive medicine, and earlier disease detection.

Ashlie Saffire DVM, Diplomate ABVP (Feline Practice)

Dr. Saffire graduated from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine and is board-certified in feline practice by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. She is a published author, an international speaker on feline medicine, and a tutor for the University of Sydney's Feline Distance Education Program. She currently serves as the immediate past president of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Saffire is the founder and co-owner of Faithful Friends Veterinary Clinic and Cat Specialty Center, an AAHA-accredited Gold Level Cat Friendly Practice in Dublin, Ohio. As an invited speaker, Dr. Saffire hopes to share her clinical experience and expertise in feline medicine with the veterinary profession.
