A Sigh of Relief: A Guide to Your Professional Liability Policy Webinar

Are you a relief veterinarian or thinking of becoming one? Do you wonder if you have the right policies in place to protect your ability to practice as you navigate between clinics? When faced with an allegation of malpractice, who files a claim — the treating veterinarian or the practice owner? What happens once a claim is filed? In this webinar, we will explore the essential insurance coverages specific to relief practice, discuss what to do when faced with a medical error or allegation of negligence, understand the different claim types, and review the claim process. Closed claim examples specific to relief practice will be provided to illustrate how your professional liability policy responds to malpractice and/or board complaints.

Learning Objectives:

1. Understand insurance coverage needs specific to relief veterinarians

2. Gain awareness of the different claim types and the claim process

3. Identify resources available if faced with a malpractice and/or board complaint
