Emergency & Critical Care

Trauma patients are often in need of immediate lifesaving interventions. The ability to rapidly assess and stabilize these animals is imperative in giving them the best chance to survive. We will discuss the pathophysiology of trauma, outline mnemonics used to help with trauma triage, and review the goals of the primary and secondary survey in trauma. Stabilization and complications will also be examined.
